On this free tour, we will explore Cartagena’s historic center and the colorful San Diego neighborhood. We start at Plaza de la Aduana, learning about the colonial era, maritime trade, and the role of the Old Customs House. From there, we stroll to San Pedro Claver Square to admire the convent and uncover tales of significant historical figures. Continuing on to Plaza de Bolívar, which hosts the Zenú Gold Museum and the Palace of the Inquisition, sites associated with some dark chapters of the city’s history. Next up is the Cathedral of Saint Catherine of Alexandria followed by visits to Proclamation Square and Santo Domingo Square, where you can see one of Fernando Botero’s renowned sculptures. As we enter San Diego, take pleasure in strolling through lively streets lined with beautiful old buildings, eye-catching street art, and an authentic local vibe.
