Great Whales is the only educational program on Whales and Dolphins available to tourists in Sri Lanka that aims at improving public awareness regarding these marine mammals found in Sri Lankan waters. It's a one hour long interactive learning program suitable for both kids as well as grown ups. The below mentioned subjects would be covered within this 1 hr period; History of commercial Whale and Dolphin Watching tourism in Sri Lanka, Major spots where you could see them around our shores, The reason behind presence of such large creatures like Whales and Dolphins in srilankan seas?, Common Species seen here ?, Current sighting reports of various kinds, Duration of trips organized for viewing purposes, Weather condition affecting visibility underwater while cruising towards spotting areas along with type of vessels (boats /yachts) commonly utilized for organizing tours etc., Best practices followed when observing wild life especially cetaceans up close plus amenities offered onboard each vessel catering specifically to your needs whilst enjoying uninterrupted views of nature’s wonders! An Open forum shall also be conducted wherein participants may share experiences related to actual encounters they had witnessed firsthand including facts known personally about DOLPHINS AND WHALES OR LIVE VIEWING OF THE SAME...
