Let’s explore together the historic centre of the city. This is my favourite part of Lyon! With over 2000 years of history behind them, the districts of Vieux-Lyon and Fourvière have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Their distinctive architecture, renowned ‘traboules’, and silk workshops will whisk you back to the Renaissance era. I’ll show you the most emblematic viewpoint in the city, perched 300 metres above sea level, where you can marvel at the Basilica of Fourvière and its Roman amphitheatre below. And there are no extra charges – entry to these landmarks is completely free:) unless you wish to include visits to the Museum of Fine Arts or the Musée des Confluences.
